About the Photo: Taken just a couple minutes from my home in Kealia, Kauai. What’s interesting about this one is that the sun is setting to the right and almost behind me, rather than in front which is rather typical. The sun's position here lights up the FRONT of the clouds and even the foreground a bit more. By using a tripod and slowing down the shutter for this seascape, you get sharp detail in the rocks and clouds, but the movement of the water gives the image a little more of an artistic impression. Sort of like a painting, but with a camera. |
